I was watching a documentary clip about hornets. This was how I learned that hornets are just as wicked to themselves as they are to those around them.

Their nests aren’t really built for winter. So when winter comes, they just toss out half of their developing larvae to die on the ground. They also starve their queen to death to prepare for a new queen. That queen gave them life and babies, and they repay her by killing them both.

They don’t bite the hand that feeds them. They starve her to death and then slaughter half of her offspring. . Hornets are ungrateful assholes.
