I made the colors different to show how it FOILS. They are still like terms that can be combined.
I screwed up slightly. The final answer will actually be the factored format: (x + 6) (x – 4), since it’s asking you to factor it. Factoring it out is just a good way to test if your factoring is correct. My bad.
