Recap: I clear out overgrown graves at my local cemetery. I invited volunteers to come along.
I got help today, and we were very productive! Within 3 hours, we had five graves cleared out! Here’s all we did today! Before I do, I have to repost a certain meme as a necessary disclaimer.

I don’t restore gravestones.
I am not advocating to restore gravestones without training and permission.
I am professionally trained in garden maintenance, and therefore, I restore gardens.
How DO you clean a grave?
DON’T.
Here’s why: Hanging out in an old graveyard
Moving on…

I got there today and spoke with the maintenance guy to let him know that we were there. He said it was cool, and let me know that they were now going to start lifting the gravestones to clean them and re-place them into the ground (gravestones sink).
It looks like I might not be needed for much longer! 😀

I got a little excited and got straight to work without pausing to take a before picture.

Another veteran’s grave rescued from Mother Nature. The black stuff is lichen, and we don’t mess with lichen. But it looks nice otherwise!

The damage made me think of those hole-punched letters. I’m really not even sure how this happened, because I don’t know anything about granite.

I wonder what causes that type of chip in the stone?

May they Rest In Peace.

It was definitely awesome!

A lot of people ask me how old I am, and I’m not sure why. But I’m 27! And that’s the end. Thanks for reading!
